Pressure sewerage

PRESSURE SEWERING is one of the principles of sewerage in places where it is not possible to use the gravity sewerage system (i.e. in more rugged terrain or where there is no suitable slope or no slope, it is necessary to use pressure sewerage). Examples of pressure sewer systems can be found in countries such as Hungary, Switzerland, the Netherlands and nowadays also in many municipalities in the Czech Republic.

What makes our pumps different

  • The stainless steel casings of our electric motors are made of highly resistant AISI 316 stainless steel
  • The technical design of the hydraulic part ensures sufficient swirling of the waste water in the sump
  • Possibility to remove the pump from the sump without disconnecting the pipe (AQK 06 - SZ)
  • Disconnectable pump cable from electric motor (connector)
  • Use of a mechanical seal between the hydraulic section and the electric motor
  • Oil bath cooling of the electric motor
  • Completely repairable, including rewinding the electric motor

Meet the AQK pumps

Hydraulic part (HP)

It consists of a rubber stator and a stainless steel spindle. The spindle is driven by a flexible shaft which is carried by a special clutch by the shaft of the electric motor. This hydraulic part allows to achieve a high output pressure ( up to 1 MPa) at a nearly constant flow of 40 l/min at 2900 rpm. The material design and construction ensure high wear resistance, low cost and small footprint

Cutting system (CS)

The cutting system of the pump ensures that solid biological impurities are ground up and at the same time, it serves the function of mixing the wastewater in the sump and thus prevents the formation of unwanted sediments. The crushing blade is mounted on the shaft of the electric motor. The waste liquid flows through this knife into the pump and does not have to be sucked in. This significantly extends the life of the spindle and the rubber stator of the hydraulic section. Furthermore, this design ensures sufficient mixing of the fluid in the sump. It consists of a fixed blade and a rotating blade. The movement of the rotary knife with cutting blades enables the grinding of solid, non-fibrous and non-abrasive impurities in the waste water. Due to its design, it is characterised in particular by its self-cleaning function, i.e. no fouling or clogging of the cutting equipment, even with the relatively low flow velocity of the pumped liquid at this point.

Mechanical seal (MS)

A mechanical seal separates the electric motor from the pumped medium. It is located inside the electric motor, so that it is lubricated and cooled by the oil that forms its filling. The design of the ceramic seating surfaces reliably ensures that the pumped medium does not enter the electric motor compartment. Contact with surrounding dirt is prevented by an outer cover ring. This design also allows the electric motor to run "dry", i.e. it can operate for a limited period of time even when fully emerged from the pumped fluid without damaging the mechanical seal. This is a modern principle of separation of the pumped liquid compartment and the electric motor winding.

Sliding device (SD)

The technical solution of our company is protected by a utility model. It enables easier service handling of the pump.

The sump is equipped with guiding rods that guide the pump for easy and precise seating in the base body. The base body is fixed into the bottom of the sump and a pressure pipe is led out of the sump and continues from the sump to the overall wastewater disposal system of the site. The footing and pump are fitted with a special lock to ensure that the high pressure is transferred from the hydraulic part of the pump to the discharge pipe. The design of this lock allows the pump to be removed from the sump and reinstalled in the sump without any manipulation of the pipework or even dismantling and disconnecting it. The fact that the pump weighs only 15Kg makes removal from the sump considerably easier. The time required for possible servicing is also reduced by the possibility of disconnecting the hydraulic part from the electric motor by loosening only four nuts.
